Chef Jared Stafford-Hill grew up in the Westcott neighborhood in Syracuse. After graduating from Nottingham High School, Chef Stafford-Hill studied industrial design at University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Soon, Jared realized his passion for cooking and headed to New York City. There, he spent 20 years perfecting his craft by working in some of the best restaurants NYC has to offer, including Craft, Hearth, Adour by Alain Ducasse, Gramercy Tavern, and Union Pacific.
In addition to honing his cooking skills along side mentors such as Chef Rocco DiSpirito, Chef Marco Canora and Chef Didier Elena, he has developed a true passion for wine and spent five vintages in Burgundy immersing himself in the traditions and terroir of this storied region. On his return to Syracuse, Chef Stafford-Hill brings with him a deep knowledge of wine, and true appreciation of the cooking traditions and bounty of France. At Saint Urban, Chef Stafford-Hill seeks to create an ever-changing menu inspired by the finest local ingredients and paired along side the best wines in the world.
